Quote of the Day

This afternoon, during a segment of CNN's "The Situation Room" with guests Paul Begala and Dick Armey, host Wolf Blitzer brought up the prospect of Al Gore receiving a Nobel Peace Prize.

Paul Begala, predictably, almost wet himself in his gleeful support of Gore, but Dick Armey provided a great punchline:
"I have no trouble with people dumbing down the Nobel. It should be recognized for as meaningless and shallow as it is, and giving it to Gore will do a great deal to help...."
The last couple of words of his statement were drowned out by Blitzer as he wrapped up the segment, but it was too late to prevent Armey from making his point.
